Archer Aviation Hosts Federal Delegation to Showcase Urban Air Mobility Progress

Archer Aviation, a leading urban air mobility (UAM) startup, welcomed a delegation from the Federal Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) Interagency Working Group at its flight test facility. The distinguished group, comprising more than 70 representatives from various agencies and departments such as the FAA, NASA, FCC, DOT, DOD, and NTIA, attended a flight test of Archer's innovative Midnight electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) design.

During the event, the delegation witnessed firsthand the advanced progress of Archer's eVTOL aircraft and its commitment to ensuring safe entry into the U.S. market by 2025. The showcase highlighted the safety features and low noise advantages of eVTOL aircraft, leaving a lasting impression on the attendees.

Archer's founder and CEO, Adam Goldstein, expressed his appreciation for the overwhelming support from the federal government in facilitating the integration of eVTOL aircraft into the national airspace system. The AAM Interagency Working Group, formed through legislation in 2022 and officially established in February 2023, has the essential goal of coordinating efforts to grow new transportation options, promote economic activity and job creation, advance environmental sustainability and technology, and support emergency preparedness and national competitiveness.

Archer's commitment to the advancement of urban air mobility and its successful flight test demonstration showcased its dedication to shaping the future of air transportation.
