Aviation training provider AV8 Prep has introduced a new online learning platform specifically designed for private pilots and individuals aspiring to enter the world of aviation. The company is offering comprehensive courses covering various certificates and ratings, including private pilot, instrument, commercial, certified flight instructor, and drone pilot. The development of the platform involved nearly 30 months of extensive work, which included producing over 2,000 in-flight video clips, conducting green screen studio sessions, and creating a lecture/interview series.
AV8 Prep CEO Drew Clark emphasized the significance of the platform in providing aspiring pilots with easy access to all the necessary tools and resources in one place. He stated, "Our platform represents a significant leap forward in aviation training, offering a modern and accessible approach to learning. We believe that by providing aspiring pilots with the tools they need to succeed, we can help shape the future of aviation."
To commemorate the launch of the platform, Clark and AV8 Prep instructor Bob Kamm embarked on a flight with the goal of landing at all public and paved airports in Florida within 72 hours. Flying a Cirrus SR22 aircraft, they successfully visited 104 airports during the three-day trip. AV8 Prep has also announced plans to give away a free online ground school course license for each airport visited as part of the celebration.
