Concurrently, Continental Aerospace announced that it obtained the FAA validated type certificate (VTC) for its revolutionary CD-300 Jet-A-burning piston engine, which powers the DA50 RG model.
The DA50 RG has garnered high praise from pilots, being celebrated for its spacious cabin, versatility, exceptional performance, and fuel efficiency with the use of environmentally friendly jet fuel engines, making it a highly desirable aircraft for the U.S. market, as stated by Diamond Aircraft Group CEO, Liqun (Frank) Zhang. The achievement of this milestone marks a moment of immense pride for the company, as it expands its product offerings, alongside its popular single and twin-engine aircraft.
The five-seat Diamond DA50 RG boasts an impressive top speed of 181 knots, a remarkable 754-NM range with a 30-minute reserve, and a maximum useful load of 1,210 pounds. Outfitted with a cutting-edge Garmin G1000NXi flight deck and a state-of-the-art three-blade MT hydraulic variable pitch propeller, the model promises an exceptional flying experience.
