The FAA has initiated the first phase of its online aircraft registration system, which will streamline common transactions for general aviation (GA) owners and operators. With this new system, individual aircraft owners can conveniently complete self-guided registration applications, upload necessary legal and supplemental documents, receive automated notifications, request aircraft registration N-numbers, utilize modernized online payment options, instantly receive payment confirmation, and digitally sign Aircraft Registration Applications, as announced by the agency on Sunday.
This online registry for individual owners and operators is considered a preliminary stage, serving as a beta test before the eventual inclusion of more intricate registrations. The FAA's notice affirms that online services will be continuously enhanced and expanded to accommodate corporations, limited liability companies (LLCs), partnerships, and non-citizen trusts, ensuring a comprehensive and efficient registration process for all stakeholders involved.
