During his appearance at the Air and Space Forces Association conference near Washington, D.C., General Charles Q. Brown, the potential future Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, revealed the most comprehensive photographs to date of the B-21 Raider. This cutting-edge, optionally piloted strategic bomber is slated to replace the B-2 bomber fleet. The images, showcased as reported by The Drive, offer an unprecedented glimpse into the highly classified aircraft.
While the Air Force officially introduced the prototype in December of the previous year, the previously released photos only provided a head-on perspective, lacking elements for scale and context. The newly unveiled pictures offer a fresh perspective. One image showcases the Raider from an angle, providing a clear view of the flight deck windows, engine inlets, and landing gear. Another image, captured on July 31, offers a head-on view of the aircraft, now featuring people and equipment in proximity to provide a sense of scale. These photographs were taken shortly after the prototype's inaugural power-up at Northrop Grumman's Site 4 facility, located at USAF Plant 42 in Palmdale, California.
