Highlighting the significance of the aerospace and aviation sectors, the commission emphasizes the presence of approximately 206,000 jobs within these industries in the state, effectively characterizing them as a pivotal driver of the local economy. Recognizing the pivotal role of a secure and efficient aviation system for both commerce and communities, the commission's Aerospace and Aviation Education Program plays a pivotal role in inspiring and guiding both young and adult Oklahomans toward considering careers in these high-tech domains.
