Pratt & Whitney Canada made a significant announcement at AirVenture 2023, revealing that it has surpassed the milestone of delivering more than 400 PT6 E-Series engines. Since its introduction in October 2019, this engine family has amassed an impressive total of over 100,000 flight hours worldwide. The PT6 E-Series powers two renowned single-engine turboprop aircraft, the Pilatus PC-12 NGX and Daher TBM 960.

Nicholas Kanellias, Vice President for General Aviation at Pratt & Whitney Canada, highlighted the engine's role in propelling innovation and enhancing technology to provide greater value to their customers and support their success. He stated, "With its optimal combination of precision, performance, and efficiency, it offers an elevated flying experience and sets a new standard for general aviation, supported by comprehensive engine maintenance coverage through our premium maintenance plans."

Notably, the PT6 E-Series is the first engine family in the general aviation turboprop market to include a dual-channel integrated electronic propeller and engine control system. It boasts advanced features such as auto-start, full digital envelope protection, and single-lever operation, ensuring enhanced convenience and safety for pilots and operators.

In addition to the milestone of PT6 E-Series deliveries, Pratt & Whitney Canada is also celebrating the 60th anniversary of its renowned PT6 engine family, which has amassed an astounding estimated 500 million flight hours to date, solidifying its status as an aviation industry icon.
